Brackley Town are considering putting an outfield player in goal for Monday’s FA Cup first round replay against Gillingham.

Saints are without their first choice goalkeeper, Billy Turley, for the tie after the 40-year-old was sent off for foul and abusive language in Brackley’s league game with Boston United at the beginning of the month.

The club had lined up a goalkeeper before Saturday’s tie, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it was unable to completed in time and FA rules state that a player must be eligible for the first FA Cup game to then be able to play in a replay.

Brady could choose to put Elliot Sandy in goal, who put on the gloves when Turley was sent off against Boston, or assistant manager, Darren Collins, who also has limited goalkeeping experience.
