Brackley set up Gillingham FA Cup clash

Brackley Town are into the first round of the FA Cup for only the second time in their history after a dramatic 1-0 win over Barrow AFC on Tuesday evening.

The tie needed a replay after a goalless draw at St James’ Park on Saturday, and the two teams still couldn’t be separated after 180 minutes.

In extra-time, Izak Reid’s penalty gave Saints the lead, but Barrow had a glorious opportunity to level with a penalty of their own - but Billy Turley superbly saved Sam Sheridan’s spot-kick and Brackley held on to clinch a famous victory.

Jon Brady’s side, who receive £12,500 for reaching this stage, will travel to League One side Gillingham a week on Saturday,
