BUCKINGHAM Town caretaker manager Daniel Kingston has admitted that the club are in crisis following the departure of Steve Orchard.

The Robins have had a nightmare start to the season – currently lying bottom of the United Counties League Division One table with one win in seven – and have no manager, no home ground and just 13 fit players.

Kingston said: “We need to steady the ship. Obviously we’re in crisis at the moment, we’re playing our home matches 12 miles out of town and we have no home ground so there’s little support and that’s what we need.

“You can’t even question that we’re in crisis, but we’re working on it and there’s a meeting next week that will focus on getting back to playing in Buckingham.

“It’s a miracle we are still in business in all honesty.”
