BRACKLEY Sports FC have held their end of season presentation night with Steve Pratt voted the First team’s Players’ Player and Manager’s Player of the season.
Despite the lack of silverware, the club has continued to grow and flourish as they now field four sides each weekend.
Other awards for the First team went to Matt Carberry (Shining Star) and Andy Prescott (top goalscorer).
In the reserves, Manager’s Player and Players’ Player went to Richard Wyatt as Matt Cox was the Shining Star and Jamie Delvalle top scorer.
James Timmis (Players’ Player), Tony Lewis (Manager’s Player), Ben French (Shining Star) and Joe Davey (top goalscorer) won the awards in the ‘A’ team.
For the Ladies team, Manager’s Player was Sarah Wickens, Players’ Player went to Christina Picchianti, the Shining Star was won by Hollie Williams and Charli Pridmore finished top goalscorer.
The final two awards went to Andy Bannard (Clubman) and Ollie Prentice (Sportsman).
It was also the end of an era on Saturday as club chairman Josh Jenner stepped down after three years in the role, to be replaced by club co-founder Simon Thompson.
However, the celebrations may still continue as Ladies team manager and secretary Andy Bannard and coach Keith Cartwright have both been nominated in the upcoming Northamptonshire Womens Football Awards due to be held in Wellingborough on Friday, June 29, in the Publicity and Coach of The Year categories respectively.
Sports are due to begin training at the start of July with the pre-season fixture schedule already being finalised. For more information on any aspect of getting involved, please contact club secretary Andy Bannard on 07931 370491 or email email@example.com.
