A goalless draw against Wellingborough Whitworth on Tuesday evening kept Buckingham Town ninth in UCL Division One.
The Robins, who beat Irchester United 2-1 at the weekend, have gone three matches unbeaten to continue their solid start to the campaign, which has seen them pick up 12 points from eight matches.
Manager Neil Griffiths said this week: “Four points is all to the good and we are well placed now to mount a challenge against the clubs above us.
“We know that a win against Wellingborough Whitworth would have seen us in a better place, but we are becoming a hard side to beat and that is a good basis to build from.
“Whitworth never looked dangerous and we dominated for large parts of the game with a hard-working performance from all of the players. We will improve and we have much to look forward to from the season over the coming weeks.”
Buckingham take a break from league action this weekend and turn their attention to the Berks & Bucks FA Cup with a visit to Aylesbury Dynamos.
