youth football: Halse United U14’s completed their first season in the top flight with a home win against MK Wanderers.
It won’t go down as a classic, but Halse dominated for the majority of the match after taking the lead within the first minute through a Luke Gilsen strike.
Halse did everything throughout the match as Declan Batty went close with a bullet header and Kieran Wraight rattled the crossbar. In the end Halse had to settle for a one nil win and were lucky when MK Wanderers were also awarded a penalty which was ballooned over the bar.
On the whole it was a well deserved win which sets them up for their forthcoming final at the MK Dons’ stadium:mk on Saturday, May 21 at 1pm.
