In-form Winslow beat Langford

Winslow United steered further away from danger at the bottom of the SSML Division One table with a 2-0 win over Langford on Tuesday evening.

Claude Seanla and Vinny Shrieves, pictured, were on target again for United in a win that moves them up to 14th, eight points behind local rivals Buckingham Athletic, with six league games remaining.

Following an uneventful first half, Winslow dominated the second with Shrieves hitting the bar before Seanla headed in his 17th goal of the season from Drew Mitten’s cross.

Shrieves then made the game safe when he lobbed the visiting goalkeeper after a fine through ball from Mitten.

That sealed Winslow’s fifth consecutive home victory.
