The Buckingham six-a-side Football League is desperately appealing for new teams to join the league that will be played on the brand new pitch at Swan Pool Leisure Centre.

Swan Pool have spent the last six weeks digging up and laying a new, multi-use pitch.

The Buckingham six-a- league, which has been running for four years, will start up again in April with matches played Monday evenings.

Organiser of the league, Ray Peverall, said: “The league is locally run and administered with an emphasis on competitive but sporting, enjoyable football.

“We pride ourselves in providing enjoyable six-a-side football without the bad sportsmanship and win-at-any-cost attitude often experienced and tolerated in larger commercial leagues.

“The final format of the league will depend on the number of teams entering with the possibility of one or two divisions and possibly a league cup competition with winner/runner-up trophies winners.

“Match balls and bibs are provided and games will be have the benefit of FA qualified, experienced referees.”
