Buckingham Athletic are up to fourth in Division One following a fine 4-1 win over New Bradwell St Peter on Tuesday evening.
Free-scoring Phil Martin sweetly-struck an 18-yard volley to take the lead but Bradwell responded well to level.
Athletic goalkeeper Tom Clarke made two good saves before Craig Rumble gave Athletic the lead at the break.
The second half was all about Martin as he completed his hat-trick to add to the four goals he scored at the weekend.
Meanwhile, the Athletic Ladies won a cracking match 6-4 against Stony Stratford.
Stony took the lead but Lucy Rowe quickly equalised before she scored a stunner to turn the game around.
But the lead didn’t last long before Stony took the lead.
Once again Buckingham responded and neat passing from Rachel Thorpe and Monique Sylvester resulted in making it 3-3 at half time.
The second half belonged to Buckingham with Sylvester scoring a superb headed goal before Hester Edwards made it 5-3 after a great through ball by Thorpe .
Stony pulled one back late on but Athletic rounded off an impressive display with a fine individual goal from Lottie Scarr.
