Moore double sees Saints to vital three points

Stefan Moore scored his fifth goal in three Brackley Town games to help Saints to a much-needed 3-0 victory at 10-man Vauxhall Motors.

Having won just two of their previous 11 league matches, Saints went into the game outside the play-off positions, but Moore’s brace sees them up to fourth with promotion rivals AFC Telford and Solihull Moors both dropping points, while leaders North Ferriby United were held to a 4-4 draw by Histon.

A calamitous mix-up between goalkeeper and defender gifted Saints the lead on 19 minutes, before Vauxhall were reduced to 10 men when a home defender felled Moore in the penalty area, and the striker made no mistake from the penalty spot.

Moore then added his second and Saints’ third on the hour-mark to seal all three points.
