Mursley United remain firmly in promotion contention at the top of SSML Division Two after beating local rivals Grendon Rangers 3-1.
Both sides defended stoutly in a scoreless first period with Jamie Parker lobbing an effort just wide in the closest either team came to the breakthrough.
Mursley came out with renewed purpose in the second half and began to dominate possession, but hesitant defending on 53 minutes allowed the home side to take a 1-0 lead.
After wasting two chances to level, Mursley equalised when Andy Cleere latched onto Robin Tucker’s pass to score, before United completed the turnaround with two goals in quick succession through Tucker and then Joel McCormick.
The reserves, meanwhile, drew 1-1 at Totternhoe. Lee Cole with the Mursley goal.
