Mursley United’s title hopes took a blow at the weekend with a 4-0 away defeat to Totternhoe.
After almost a month without a match, Mursley were rusty from the off and fell behind to an early Golding effort. The visitors thought they had equalised when Hollingsworth headed home, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside, before Loasby and Golding both scored within a minute to compound Mursley’s misery.
Three goals down at the break, Mursley improved in the second period but were unable to prevent Golding completing his hat-trick as he latched onto a long ball and chipped the ball over the onrushing Jordan McKechnie.
Mursley Reserves, meanwhile, beat Totternhoe 2-1 with goals from Rob Mooney and Andy Brown.
