Robins beat Wootton to ease woes

BUCKINGHAM Town eased their recent troubles with a third win in four games after beating fellow strugglers Wootton Blue Cross 3-1.

Kyle Stimpson scored twice for the Robins while DeMarlo Smith also found the target to help Buckingham move up to 17th in UCL Division One.

Town manager Daniel Kingston missed the game due to problems with his central heating boiler.

He said: “I had to miss the game in the end, my boiler packed up and it’s a bit chilly for the family so I was trying to get it sorted all day!

“I picked the team but Mike Ringer stood in for me with help from Grant Smith and Mike Burnham.

“They did a great job.

“It was our third home league win in a row and it just compounds the annoyance of not getting a proper side out last week.”

Buckingham face a huge match this weekend when they host former Football league outfit AFC Rushden & Diamonds tomorrow.

Kingston added: “I can’t wait for this weekend, we’ll have a good old go at them and hopefully we’ll have a good turnout.”
