BUCKINGHAM Town face a mammoth task this weekend when they travel to high-flying Oadby Town in UCL Division One tomorrow.
Robins captain Chris Robson, who is out for the rest of the season with an injury, will take charge after caretaker manager Daniel Kingston stepped down to take over as Director of Football with a new manager to be officially appointed on January 12.
Ahead of the trip to Oadby, who have the best defensive record in the league and are currently sitting second, Kingston said: “If the game goes ahead this weekend then Chris Robson will be in charge and we’ll have him for three Saturdays before hopefully the new manager comes in. Chris has been discussing the team with me all the time.
“I don’t know what to expect at all tomorrow. We’ve been able to bring in two or three players thanks to Chris’ influence but I’m not sure how many will travel up to Leicestershire with the weather the way it has been so it’s hard to predict.
“My last game looks like being the 9-0 defeat to Rushden & Diamonds unfortunately. It was annoying because we had just built some momentum and we could have gone on a four or five game winning run before that so it’s a shame.”
