Saints down to sixth after postponement

Brackley Town have slipped out of the play-off places in the Skill Conference North after Saturday’s fixture with Guiseley was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Although heavy rain prevented Saints from getting their season back on track following a recent poor run, the other six teams at the top of the table were in action with North Ferriby, Altrincham and Boston United all winning.

That sees Saints drop to sixth and fall seven points behind leaders North Ferriby after 22 games.

With the forecast set to improve this week, Brackley will resume their campaign at home to relegation-threatened Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday.
