A celebration of MK Dons fans from the Buckingham area is coming back next year.

The Buckingham Big Day is being held on February 16 for the MK Dons vs Swindon Town match.

Residents within the MK18 postcode will be able to buy tickets to the match at a reduced rate of £10 for adults and £3 for under 18s. The event has proven to be popular in previous years.

There will also be coach travel from Buckingham bus stand to the stadium, for a return fare of £5.

In the run up to the big day, a number of community events have been organised.

On January 17, a games night for young people is being held at Project Street Life, from 6.30pm to 8pm.

Eleven to 18-year-olds will be able to meet two MK Dons players. Tickets are free and are available from Andrew Frost on 07794 166131 or the MK Dons box office.

On January 24, there will be a children’s roadshow at the Royal Latin School where under 13s from schools around the area will be invited to meet MK Dons players with games and activities run by the MK Dons Sport and Education Trust.

On January 31, there will be a football forum at Buckingham Athletic, from 7.30pm to 9pm. People will be able to put their questions to a panel including MK Dons chairman Pete Winkelman and first team manager, Karl Robinson. Tickets are free and are available from the Old Gaol.
