YOUTH FOOTBALL: Towcester Town Foxes U16s saw off Gregory Celtic 5-2. Tows were up against a Celtic team who were unbeaten in the league. Tows started brightly and won a penalty after Matthew Carmichael was fouled, the spot kick being converted by Macaulay Copping.
Celtic equalised just before half time. Tows came out fighting after the break and scored early on in the half through Jack Shaw. After that they grabbed two more goals through Sam Conrich and Keoni Benjamin before Celtic replied. Alex Timothy curled a free kick into the corner of the net to make the final score 5-2.

A spirited Tows performance saw them play really well in the first half but go behind to Wanderers. In the second half Tows came back with two goals from man of the match Gregg Chambers.

Towcester had an excellent first half and played really well for most of the game. Man of the match Daniel Francis was excellent in midfield. Will Taylor scored with his first touch and Nathan Keen put Towcester ahead for the second time.
However Woodford scored three in the second half and punished some indecisive defending.

Towcester progressed through to the next round of the All Weather Cup after a good team performance against a spirited Moulton side. Tows were 3-0 up at half time with goals from Matthew Woods (2) and Ryan Alger. In the second period Tows added further goals through Corey Neville (2), Charlie Oddy and Cameron Rigby. The impressive Alger also added his second of the game and Matthew Woods hit two further well taken goals to finish with foru on the day. Man of the match Michael Rapson had a very good, disciplined game in defence.
