WINSLOW United are looking to the future with the news that Preston Gawcott Junior Football Club will officially join forces with the Elmfields Gate club.

With pre-season starting last night (Thursday), the club’s preparations for the 2012/13 are well under way following the appointment of Kit Bamber as manager and the club’s place in Division One being confirmed.

Winslow United chairman Colin O’Dell said: “This is a great way for Winslow United to grow and make sure we have home grown talent for ourselves and other clubs in the area.

“A junior club having a solid link with a senior club gives all the youngsters a clear path to a higher level”.

The venture will provide football for boys and girls from U7 through to adult football.

The junior sides will still play at the Richard Roper playing fields.
