Two goals from Mark Baron helped Winslow United to a 2-1win in their first South Midlands League Division One match of the season against Sun Postal.
Baron scored from a free-kick to give United the lead at half time before he missed a penalty shortly after the break.
But he made up for his miss 20 minutes later when he headed home after Dearlove struck the bar.
The hosts pulled one back late on but it was too little too late as Winslow held on for an opening win.
Next up for United is a local derby tomorrow evening at home to Buckingham Athletic – who won their opening match 3-0 and have ex-Winslow Damien Wiffin in charge.
