Winslow remain in trouble

WINSLOW United have failed to win any of their last 16 matches in all competitions after suffering a 5-0 loss to London Lions.

United produced a strong first half performance and could have scored on several occasions but poor refereeing and bad finishing kept the scores level.

Despite playing a side near the top of the table, Winslow were on top and should have been awarded a penalty when James Wardell was fouled.

Brady went close early on with an almost superb goal before Jakub went on a mazy run but he blazed over while Chris Setterfield’s free-kick was saved low by the keeper.

Although Winslow were dominating, it was London Lions who opened the scoring against the run of play and led 1-0 at half time.

The Lions then took total control after half time with four more goals against a battling Winslow side that will count themselves desperately unlucky to come away with nothing.

Winslow are now in deep trouble as they lie 20th in South Midlands Division One.
