Football: Chippenham thwart Brackley

Brackley Town's search for their first win of the season goes on but they opened their goal account with a 1-1 home draw on Tuesday in the Zamaretto Premier Division.

Tom Winters struck after eight minutes from close range when he latched on to Francis Green's cross to put Saints 1-0 ahead.

Chippenham hit back through Sam Allison's diving header in the 57th minute as the visitors dominated the second half.

Saints came close with a Jon Chalinor overhead kick but were unable to take the three points. Brackley host Stourbridge this Saturday and travel to Oxford City on Monday, August 30, kick-off 3pm.

Saints lost 1-0 at Chesham United last Saturday.
