Great Horwood travelled to Radley on Saturday and came away with a narrow eight-run victory to put themselves back into the mix at the business end of OCA Division One.
Batting first, Horwood posted a strong score of 240-6 thanks mainly to another hundred from in-form Sam Willett, who struck 109 in total for his third century of the season.
There were also contributions from Chris Mcstraw (35) and Glyn Davies (29) as Horwood were watchful to begin with and then accelerated in the final stage of their innings.
On a good pitch, Radley were still in the game, but two early wickets from Dake Armitage put Horwood in control.
A third-wicket partnership took the score past 100 before Haydon Morrison (3-64) and Olly Prendergast (4-45) bowled well tandem to pick up wickets at regular intervals.
Despite this Radley kept up with the run rate and were only eventually dismissed in the 44th over for 232 to give Horwood maximum points from an exciting game of cricket.
