Great Horwood 1st XI are third in Oxfordshire Cricket Association Division Two despite suffering their first loss of the season against Clifton Hampden at the weekend.
Horwood won their opening four games but were comfortably beaten by Clifton Hampden after being bowled out for 72.
Batting first, Clifton made a strong start as the top three of Richard Beard (21), Morley Benson (40) and Robert England (36) all made runs to put Horwood under pressure.
But the visitors fought back through Adam Armitage (3-46), Neil Taylor (2-41) and Matthew McStraw (1-24) as Horwood restricted the home side to 158-6.
Horwood looked to be making good progress in reply through openers Stuart Parker (13) and Matthew Hurst (15) but they capitulated to 72 all out with only Armitage and Ian McStraw reaching doubles figures of the remaining batsmen as both made 10.
Horwood will hope to get their league campaign back on track at home to Marsh Gibbon this weekend.
