Bicester M1s and Banbury played out a thrilling 4-4 draw on Saturday to further stall Bicester’s promotion push.
Bicester dominated for large periods and led four times but they failed to see out victory as Banbury earned a dramatic late draw.
The greens’ first strike, scored through Dave Sutcliffe after good work from Jonny Reid (pictured), was cancelled out by a deflected Banbury goal, but Sutcliffe scored his second before Reid took advantage of a mistake to give Bicester a 3-2 half-time lead.
Banbury were once again back on level terms early in the second half, however Bicester proceeded to pile on the pressure and they seemed to have won it when Michael Stark scored his first Bicester goal, only for the visitors to strike at the death. Bicester remain fourth in MBBO Division One.
