BRACKLEY U11s rugby team have won the Memorial tournament held at the Men’s Own RFC in Northampton.

Up against Towcester in the first match, Brackley found themselves one try down at half time but scores from George Uzolins, Cameron Corbett and Franco Fulljames saw Brackley run out worthy winners.

The youngsters then won their second game 3-0 against Daventry – with tries from Matthew Stuart, Fulljames and Corbett – before winning 4-1 against Boys Bridge Old Boys after Corbett and James Cockerill scored a brace of tries.

In the final match Men’s Own took a 2-0 lead with only a Billy Mellor-Brook try in response for Brackley.

But at the end of the day, Brackley were triumphant having finished levelled on points with Men’s Own but with one more try.
