Buckingham Ladies 1st XV made it 12 wins from 12 games and are the only team across the Investec National League not to drop a point after they beat Staines 3-0.
Sitting 12 points clear at the top of the table, Buckingham immediately began to dictate proceedings and created a couple of early opportunities before the opening goal came on five minutes through Jo Ellis following a flowing passing move.
Despite continuing to dominate, Buckingham had to wait until the 25th minute to add a second when Ellis again fired home.
The rampant visitors then made it 3-0 at half time thanks to Jess Bloom’s strike.
Despite totally dominating the whole of the second period, a combination of resolute defending, fine goal keeping and poor finishing meant Buckingham were unable to add to their tally but the three points had already been secured.
This weekend, Buckingham entertain Barnes Hounslow & Ealing in the league before hosting Wimbledon in the quarter-final of the cup.
