BUCKINGHAM Rugby Club will get their season going tomorrow when they take a squad to Bournemouth to play Oakmedians.

After three seasons at level six in the South West One East League, Buckingham were relegated last season to the Southern Counties North League.

They will be desperate to go straight back up this season as head coach Alan Lane has had players in training since June and this weekend will be the first opportunity to put that effort into practise for the trial game on the south coast.

The build-up then continues with a game against Bletchley at home on Thursday, August 23, followed on Saturday with another home match against Leicester Forrest.

On Saturday, September 1, Buckingham play their final game against Brackley before the league action starts.

With the 2nd XI involved in Berks, Bucks and Oxon Two and the 3rds in the Waggledance Merit League, there is rugby for everyone at the club this season.

New players are urged to turn up on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.15pm to get involved.
