THE 2012 London Olympic British eventing team have been training at Addington Manor EC with over 250 specially invited guests attending the last session.

Despite the rain, the event was a great success and sent the team on their way to Greenwich having had a good rehearsal with plenty of clapping and cheers from the audience.

The five members of the three-day event team – Tina Cook, William Fox-Pitt, Mary King, Zara Phillips and Nicola Wilson – completed dressage
and showjumping in front of the crowd.

Afterwards, the team met with the local pony club members to sign autographs and have their photographs taken with their keen supporters.

Director of Addington Manor, Tim Price, said: “This was our chance to wish the team all the best.

“They have been meeting here to train for a few years now but this was the first time we had to find a crowd to help create an atmosphere.”
