MARK Rimell shot a spectacular 65 to equal the club record during the June Monthly Medal at Buckingham Golf Club.
Rimell, who plays off a handicap of one, now shares the record with Will Davis after a sublime round.
After two pars on the first two holes, Rimell racked up five birdies on the trot on his way to a 32 front nine.
Three further birdies on 13, 16 and 17 meant a six-under par total and a net score of 64.
Ben Jenks took second place in Division one with a net 65, two shots ahead of Rob Mason. Lee Moran headed Division Two with 66 ahead of Vince Horsler on 69 and Andy Green on 70.
In Division Three, 66 was also the winning score for David Currie, followed by Vic Mundy and Roy Knight.
The midweek stableford was won by Willian Wemyss with 41 points as Alistair Brown’s 39 beat Roy Marsden to second place on countback.
The 13th leg of the ongoing Dr Stableford on Saturday was headed by Paul Skinner on 38 points with Eddie Caulfield second on 37 and Andy J Thomas third.
The Ladies Monthly Medal Division One went to Bernie Howe with a net 73 followed by Janine Stirrat and Margot Sharp with 77 apiece.
Division Two was won by Gina Lloyd’s 71 with Viv Parker second on 79 and Lindsay Sanders third with 80.
On the match front, Buckingham men travelled to Whiteleaf and ran out comfortable 5-1 winners.
