Royal Latin U15s rugby team have reached the final of the Daily Mail Cup for the first time in their history after they beat Kirkham Grammar School 8-5 in the semis.

In a very tight match, Royal Latin got points on the board first with Will Hughes kicking a penalty from 25 metres out.

However, Kirkham came back and scored an unconverted try to lead 5-3 heading into the final seven minutes.

Royal Latin responded brilliantly to going behind and camped themselves in the opponents 22’ before Tiarnan Abrahams beat the final defender to power over and give his side a superb victory.

The final will be held at Twickenham stadium on Saturday, March 23, with Royal Latin up against Felsted School for a 11am kick-off.

Royal Latin are running free coaches and will have 2000 free tickers available for supported to travel.
