BUCKINGHAM Rugby Club have announced that professional coach Alan Lane has signed a new two-year contract.

Lane has held the post of head coach at the club for the last two seasons but now takes on a new lead role in a “whole club” coaching programme.

Although his main focus will be on getting the senior men’s 1st XV back into the South West One League, he will also extend his years of experience to include the Ladies XV and through the Youth ranks to minis and juniors.

Club chairman Julian Cook, said: “Renewing Alan’s contract and extending it further to other sections of the club underlines our commitment to developing a winning and attractive brand of rugby in the region.

“North Bucks is growing at a phenomenal rate and we want our club to be first choice for new players moving into the area”.
