JOE Templer from Henley Golf Club has won the professional event of the Bicester Pro-Am golf tournament with a one-under par 70.
Despite the difficult conditions, Templer took victory with an impressive round as he beat Richard Capbell by one shot while Lee Jackson and Adam Souter both shot 72.
The team event was won by North Oxford Golf Club professional Lee Jackson with his members Dave Titcombe, Bruce Hyde-Linekar and Bicester member Paul Barrow.
They racked up a supreme score of -15, seven shots ahead of second.
Team captain Dave Titcombe thanked the sponsors, Bicester Hotel Golf and Spa, Chevrolet, Bicester Village and Chateau des Vigiers, who donated the first prize of two nights bed & Breakfast and three rounds of Golf at their resort in the south of France.
Dave went on to talk about a shot that his teammate played during the round, saying: “Bruce played a shot with his ball in a water hazard.
“Because he was wearing white trousers and shirt, he decided to remove them and play the shot wearing only a glove and his underpants, remarkably he got the ball up and down.
“The team felt at this point it may just be their day.”
