The A5 Rangers Cycling Club recently held two short distance Trophy time trials events.
In the 10-mile event, only five seconds separated the winner from the runner-up with Pete Trotman pipping Joseph Wood to the trophy while Harry Warner took the junior trophy.
The full result is as follows: Pete Trotman 23.51, Joseph Wood 23.56, Paul Clarke 25.30, Gavin Parsons 25.32, Derek Moyle 25.55, Murray Kirton 26.15, Mike McGillion 26.22, Harry Warner 27.00, Dave Stockley 28.29, Gary Guntrip 28.42, Keith Gelder 29.39, Ricki Goode 30.32.
The following week saw the distance increased to 25 miles. The winner, Enrico Cacciatori, covered the distance in 1.00.33 hours, narrowly ahead of Joseph Wood.

In between these events, superveteran racer Derek Moyle also managed to take the runner-up award in the League of Veteran Racing Cyclists National Road Race Championships.
