BRACKLEY RUFC ran in 10 tries to romp to a 66-16 victory against Bourne in Midlands 4 East.The visitors made the ideal start when number eight Tim Carter touched down within the opening minutes but Bourne quickly levelled.
However, the Brackley forwards asserted their power and strength to drive in a second try, scored by James Decouter.
Acting captain Jake Wise (pictured)converted and Brackley maintained their momentum with Aaron Loggin rounding off a fine move.
Bourne responded through a penalty but Graeme Cartmell charged over for a fourth Brackley try, giving the visitors a 26-8 half time lead.
Again the hosts narrowed the deficit through a penalty but Mike Lowdell and Kristian Roberts scored tries to put the game beyond Bourne despite the home side scoring a second try.
The remaining minutes were dominated by Brackley and they ran in four more tries, scored by Ken Marshall-Grant, man of the match Cartmell, Wise and Andrew Taylor.
The result puts Brackley in second place on points difference to St Neots with Brackley hosting winless Thorney tomorrow.
