Young Bicester riders successful in Milton Keynes competition

A Christmas show jumping competition held in Milton Keynes brought success for a team of four riders from the Bicester and Warden Hill Pony Club.

The successful team – (left to right) Annie Simpson on Nina, Helena Pryce on Harvey, Eloise Burden on Sky and Lucie Oakey on Robbie – secured first in the team event for the 2ft3 class, and second place in the 2ft6 class.

The Bicester and Warden Hill Pony Club, which started in 1930 and today has around 200 members aged from five to 21, runs a programme of activities throughout out the year, including rallies, tests, achievement badges, fun rides, specific discipline training, summer camps and a long distance ride.

Riders do not need their own pony to become a member, but can join though Pony Club riding centres, such as the Marsh Gibbon Riding Stables.
