The mass participation obstacle race event, Rock Solid Race, is coming to Silverstone Woodlands on October 12.

Organised by Ashley Jardine, the Rock Solid Race has two formats, a 5km or 10km obstacle course.

The inaugural event was recently held in Exeter, which sold out all 2,500 tickets weeks before the event.

Attracting crowds from across the UK, they will take on the brutal 5km or 10km assault course, both of which will involve racers crawling under barbed wire, scaling 8ft walls, jumping fire and having a dip in some ice skips, with 100 permanent showers, on-site pub, bars, bands and DJs available post race.

Teams of six or more get discounts, and the sooner racers sign up, the cheaper tickets are. Current pricing for teams of more than six are £36 for the 5km course and £50 for the 10km course. A special discount can be arranged for teams of 12 or more.

The Rock Solid Race official charity partner is Cancer Research UK.

The organisers are also looking for volunteers to help them stage the event, for any information visit www.rocksolidrace.com.
