SIX wickets from Matt Dipple helped Buckingham IIIs trounce Hanborough IIs by nine wickets.

Having won the toss, Town skipper Chris Coates put the visitors into bat and he was immediately vindicated as his side ran through the Hanborough line-up.

Dipple was the start of the show with his 6-26 while Ben Cater picked up three wickets with 12-year-old Adam King taking two catches in his debut match as wicket keeper.

Chasing a short total, Town never looked in danger and didn’t take long to wrap up the victory as Harry Scarr batted well for 34 not out and, along with Ryan Freshwater (13 not out), saw Town home just losing the one wicket in 11 overs.

FIXTURES: This weekend, Buckingham 1st XI travel to Horspath while the 2nds host Horspath 2nds (both 1pm start) and the 3rds visit Bledlow Ridge 2nd XI (1.30pm).
