Swindon Supermarine 1
Brackley Town 5
A Carl Palmer brace spurred Brackley to an emphatic win at Swindon on Wednesday in the Zamaretto Premier Division.
Impressive Saints led 2-1 at half time and added three goals after the break.
Tom Kemp opened the scoring for the visitors on 36 minutes, with Swindon’s Bryant levelling seven minutes later. A Tom Winters penalty on the stroke of half time saw Brackley in front.
Palmer put the game beyond Swindon with a double strike on 68 and 88 minutes with Francis Green also netting. Green was unfortunately redcarded late on in the game and faces a three-match ban.
It was a welcome return to action for Saints, who saw last Saturday’s home game against Halesowen Town fall victim to a rain-soaked pitch.
This Saturday, Brackley travel to Evesham United, kick-off 3pm, hoping to continue a good run which has seen them lose only once since the New Year.
