THE Redway School have raised an impressive £3800.30 from their charity golf day at Whittlebury Golf Club.

The school had already raised almost £50,000, which has gone towards developing their playground into a fully specialised, equipped place for children to enjoy.

The money raised from the golf day, which was arranged by PE teacher Lorraine Hobbs, went towards further transforming the playground.

In attendance at the golf day was MK Dons manager and ambassador for the school, Karl Robinson, as well as former England striker Ian Wright, now in a coaching role with the Milton Keynes side.

Lorraine said afterwards: “We were extremely lucky and hugely proud to have Karl Robinson and England legend Ian Wright join us on the day.

“They gave the two local guys who joined them in a four-ball their banter, company and golf skills on the beautiful course. We raised a huge £3800.30 which is amazing and a good time was had by all who attended.”
