The Silverstone-based Historic Sports Car Club (HSCC) have released a provisional calendar of their race meeting dates for the 2014 season.
Britain’s leading organiser of historic racing events, the HSCC will kick off their new season at Donington Park on April 6. The Leicestershire venue will be the first of 13 race meetings.
Season highlights include the International Trophy meeting at Silverstone on May 17-18, the Superprix at Brands Hatch on July 12-13 and Silverstone Classic that also takes place in July. Silverstone Classic will feature a celebration of the iconic Ford Mustang muscle car, and a special race marking the car’s 50th anniversary will take place.
Other highlights on the HSCC calendar include Oulton Park’s Gold Cup meeting in August, a new two-day festival event at Brands Hatch and the season-ending Walter Hayes Trophy at Silverstone.
The HSCC will also have a presence at the Autosport International Show at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre in January to formally announce their 2014 season.
