The National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham hosts the Autosport International Show next week, an event that officially starts the 2014 British motorsport season, write Colin and James Beckett.
The four-day exhibition begins on Thursday, January 9, and many organisations, clubs and individuals will use the show to launch their activities for the year ahead.
The Silverstone-based Historic Sports Car Club (HSCC) will announce their plans for the 2014 season at the show, and have arranged for a number of cars from their race events to be on display.
Speaking for the HSCC, Alan Jones said: “We look forward to welcoming our club members to our stand in Birmingham and also welcoming potential new members who wish to join the HSCC and start competing in historic motorsport.”
Silverstone Circuit will also formally release their calendar for the year ahead, which will kick off with the Vintage Sports Car Club-organised Pomeroy Trophy in February.
