Silverstone-based G Drive Racing won the LMP2 class of the 6 Hours of the Circuit of the Americas in Texas last weekend.
The team’s number 26 Oreca 03-Nissan, driven by Roman Rusinov, Mike Conway and Silverstone’s John Martin finished one lap clear of their nearest class rivals - the Pecom Racing Oreca 03-Nissan of Luiz Perez Companc, Nicolas Minassian and Pierre Kaffer.
The G Drive Racing team are now fourth in the LMP2 class points table with three rounds of the 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship remaining. The team’s sister Delta-ADR-entered Oreca 03-Nissan finished ninth overall, fourth in the LMP2 class - driven by Tor Graves, James Walker and Rudy Junco.
At the head of the field, Audi scored their 100th LMP overall class victory with their R18 e-tron quattro driven by Tom Kristensen, Loic Duval and Allan McNish. Brackley’s Anthony Davidson finished second for Toyota in a TS030-Hybrid he shared with Sebastien Buemi and Stephane Sarrazin.
