Alexander Sims will race for the Brackley-based T-Sport at two FIA European Formula 3 Championship events it has been announced, writes James Beckett.
The highly-rated race winner contested the Macau Grand Prix for the team last November and returns to Russell Eacott’s team for events at the Norisring and the Nurburgring during July.
Speaking this week, Sims said: “I was really pleased to be asked by T-Sport to race their F3 car this season and I thought ‘why not?’. I won’t be asked to race a Formula 3 forever and I really like driving the cars.”
Sims will drive the exact same chassis he drove at Macau last year, a car that has been raced this season by Will Buller and tested recently by New Zealander, Nick Cassidy.
Sims added: “I doubt I will have the chance to test before the race at the Norisring and so I am hoping I can find my feet again pretty quickly.”
Spike Goddard will drive the second ThreeBond with T-Sport Dallara for the remainder of the season.
