RUNNING: There was a strong turnout from Bicester Athletics Club for the third round of the Oxon Mail Cross Country League last Sunday at Horspath, which was combined with the Oxon Cross Country Championships.
Top performance of the day from a Bicester runner was by Sophie Wheeler in her first season of cross-country for the club, finishing an excellent fourth in the U11 girl’s race.
Along with Ben Jerham in the U13 boy’s event, she is one of two Bicester competitors occupying top five individual places in the overall standings after three events.
