A fine all-round display from David Williams, who scored 38 with the bat and then picked up 4-22 with the ball, took Silverstone top of SNCL Division Three with a 52-run win over local rivals and fourth-placed Towcestrians.
In the Premier Division, Syresham kept themselves in the title race as Nathan Archer (4-44) led them to a comprehensive 105-run over Afro Caribbean to remain third, just two points ahead of Evenley, who beat Wroxton by virtue of having a faster run-rate. Ollie Paterson took 4-34 and Anthony Romaine hit 60.
Division One title challengers Greens Norton were thwarted by the weather and therefore replaced by Radway at the top of the table. Elsewhere in the league, Evenley A’s faster run-rate saw them overcome Croughton, but Thornborough were beaten by 96 runs against Woodford Halse.
In Division Two, Grange Park (173-7) kept the heat on leaders Priors thanks to a 73-run win over Gayton (100), while Hinton-in-the-Hedges remain third as they beat Marston St Lawrence by six wickets.
Finally, in Division Four, Brackley succumbed to a five-wicket loss at Maids Moreton despite 68 from Steve Goodridge and Thornborough had a walkover win as Radway A failed to raise a side.
This weekend sees Syresham travel to Wroxton, Greens Norton host Thornborough, Evenley visit Castlethorpe, Hinton-in-the-Hedges entertain Gayton and Silverstone take on Division Three title rivals Middleton Cheney A.
