A youthful Winslow Town side were blown away by an in-form Chipping Norton in their OCA Division Two encounter at the weekend.
On a warm afternoon, stand-in skipper Glyn Davies elected to bowl first and opening bowlers Chris Hampton (1-62) and Harry Herittage (2-35) enjoying some early success.
However, the visitors took control thereafter as a third-wicket stand of 159 between Widdows (94) and Stafford (66) put Norton well on top before late hitting from McGowan (29) set Winslow an unlikely 248 to win. Fenton Price was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 10-0-44-3.
The home side’s replay began badly with both James Bishop and Herittage departing cheaply.
Davies (16) and Lee Eccles (43) provided some resistance but Norton coasted to victory thanks to McGowan (4-35) and Elliot (4-21) as Winslow were bowled out for just 98.
Winslow remain third from bottom ahead of a visit to bottom side Marsh Gibbon this weekend.
