ROCKERS old and young can sharpen their skills in the new term at Towcester Rockschools, starting tomorrow, Saturday, September 6.
An open afternoon will run from 2pm to 6pm at Nicholas Hawksmoor School in Balmoral Close, Towcester, where visitors can meet staff and students and see a variety of bands in action.
Launched 13 years ago, Rockschools gives young people aged six to 18 the chance to achieve their full rock potential, play in a number of bands, and perform in a series of concerts held throughout the year.
Adult sessions for older rockers are also catered for.
Bands launched through Rockschools have twice won awards at the National Festival of Music for Youth, and perform annually at the National Rock and Pop Festival at the NEC in Birmingham.
Rockschools meets in Towcester on Saturday afternoons and Wednesday evenings, in Brackley on Tuesday evenings and Middleton Cheney on Thursday evenings.
Visit www.rockschools.co.uk for more information.
