Northants councils spared Icelandic banking crisis

LOCAL authorities in the Brackley and Towcester area are not involved in the Icelandic banking crisis, representatives said today, Friday, October 10.
Spokespeople for South Northants Council and Northants County Council have confirmed that neither authority has money invested in troubled Icelandic banks.

Some councils in Bucks and Oxon have millions invested in banks such as Glitnir, Landsbanki, and Landsbanki's UK arm Heritable Bank.
