EASTER bonnets of all colours were on display by children from Greens Norton Pre-school.
The children made Easter hats at home and brought them in on Thursday last week for a parade for parents and grandparents. They also spent the day making Easter and spring related pictures. Pre-school owner and supervisor, Hilary Williams, said: "We had so many mums, dads and grandparents in we did a parade for them. The children all got a little prize at the end."
CHILDREN at Steeple Claydon Baby and Toddler Group spent the morning being creative on Monday last week when they created Easter bonnets.
The group, which has sessions on Monday and Thursday, held a parade in Steeple Claydon Village Hall. A competition for the best hats was judged by the Rev Peter Knight, from St Michael's Church.
AN EASTER parade brought fun for parents and children at Gawcott Pre-School with hat-making and singing on the agenda.
Parents helped their little ones make hats prior to the event, held at Gawcott Village Hall.
Jane Luscombe, deputy supervisor at the pre-school, said: "Parents worked with their kids at home to create beautiful masterpieces. We had a little parade and did some action songs after which we had a raffle.
Parents came to watch their children sing too."
EGG cups and mugs galore were decorated during a 'ceramic cafe' at the Courtyard Coffee House earlier this month.
The cafe, which is based in Brackley, opened its doors to children who were invited to paint an egg cup or mug on March 9.
The items were glazed and fired by Rowans Gallery and were ready for collection on Good Friday.
Coffee House owners Kay Sellick and Fiona Whitling also held a competition for the best painted egg cup and mug. The winners were announced on Friday last week.
CHILDREN at the Buckingham Pre-school Playgroup had a great time on Thursday last week when they took part in an Easter egg hunt.
Twenty-two children at the playgroup, which is based at Buckingham Cricket Club, had to hop across the cricket field like rabbits to receive a small Easter egg.
Secretary of the playgroup committee, Debbie Price, said: "They had such fun. They really enjoyed being bunnies and getting to collect eggs."
CHILDREN at Syresham Playgroup showed off their artistic talents to pupils at the local primary school by holding an Easter Bonnet parade on Thursday.
Alison Duffield, playgroup leader, said the children made Easter bonnets at home with their parents and then held a parade for pupils at Syresham St James CofE Primary School.
She said: "We asked them to come in with their bonnets which they made with their parents and showed them to the big children in the school. It was good to get parents involved at home."
YOUNGSTERS at a pre-school in Winslow decorated hats as part of their Easter celebrations.
TreeHouse pre-school held a hat decorating competition open to all under-fives whether entrants were a member of the pre-school or not. Children were given hats to design at home with the help of parents, and Winslow Mayor Cllr Dennis Corben judged the competition.
Winner Megan Towse, two, received a prize from Cllr Corben for a pink hat she designed. She is pictured above with her mum Laura and the Mayor.
Supervisor Susan Black said: "The children had a lovely time decorating these Easter hats – it was great fun!"
Twenty-eight children entered the competition.
TreeHouse pre-school operates from a purpose-built facility in the grounds of Winslow Combined School.
