Boys and girls from primary schools in Steeple Claydon and North Marston joined youngsters from Buckingham's Bourton Meadow School and Grenville Combined School at the event, and competed for a chance to perform at the 2,000-capacity Milton Keynes Theatre with older students from Buckingham School at the end of April.

Emma Nulty, one of the judges on the day, said: "This is the third year of the Primary Dance Extravaganza, and each year it gets bigger and bigger. It was very hard to judge, the standards was so high."

Winning teams from Bourton Meadow School and Grenville Combined School will join Buckingham School students at an evening of dance in Milton Keynes Theatre on Wednesday, April 23.

Tickets are now available from the box office on 08700 060 6652, priced £6 or £20 for a family ticket.
